Christina Roeser

My name is Christina 'Chris' Roeser. I am a music teacher for the Minneapolis public schools. I currently teach choir, piano & guitar at one of the high schools, although I have taught music at every grade level. I decided to obtain my masters in Instructional Design and Technology at first for selfish reasons. I wanted to be able to crate online classes for my IB music students. After the few classes I have taken I realize that I will be able to market myself to all sorts of businesses, and facets of education. I am looking forward to this class and growing my skills as an ID professional.

Eugenie M. Naone

Aloha everyone, My name is Genie Naone. I live on the island of Oahu in the state of Hawaii. I am a career counselor for a for-profit organization called Rescare Workforce and Development aka, Arbor. I have been a career counselor for the past year in a half and absolutely love it. The position's duties are many but very rewarding as the main goal is to assist Temporary Aid to Needy Families (TANF) recipients obtain skills needed to become self-sufficient. Currently, I personally assist and maintain on a daily basis 250 cases and climbing. The best part of the job is training these participants in job readiness skills like, job searching; learning how to fill out a simple application and applying via fax, email, in person, and by way of the web, interviewing skills, and dress etiquette. You see, most of these people have no skills in this subject. Most of the participants are LEP or Limited English Proficiency. The reward of one of these participants obtaining full time employment after being taught these skills, outweighs any other perk of the job. Right now I am currently pursuing my second masters degree in Instructional Design, as teaching and training has always been a passion for me. I do have an Associates in Liberal Arts, a Bachelors in Human Services, and a Masters in Administration of Justice and Security. I am happily married and have 7 children ranging from 1 to 21 years of age.

My name is Amy Cook. I am a 6th Language Arts teacher in South Carolina. This is my third year teaching. I have taught middle school all three years. I am Elementary certified up to 6th grade. I am my school’s Title 1 Facilitator. This entails keeping records of PTO meetings, Title 1 funding, the school’s goal plan, parent involvement events, etc., and facilitate Tile 1 school/team meetings. I tutor four days out of the week and find this very rewarding. I manage a home and serve as the secretary of my family’s reunion committee. We are currently planning our next reunion in Washington, D.C. this summer. I hope to gain the skills necessary in instructional technology in order to later help other teachers improve their instruction and technology use in the classroom and increase student motivation and engagement.
